What is Floral Preservation?
Floral preservation is a process that extracts the moisture from your real flowers, maintaining their shape and seals the flower to protect its beauty, “Forever In Time”. It is essential for us to receive your flowers as soon as possible, the fresher the flowers, the better they preserve. We freeze-dry the flowers, freezing them, and taking out all the moisture, preserving them for years to come. They do shrink in size, and the color can deepen, but they are still YOUR flowers. Roses and carnations preserve the best. With daisy/mums, because of the small petals, they tend to fall apart. But petals can be used in many different keepsakes.
Once they are preserved, they are very fragile. For them to last, they need to be put into something to keep them out of the elements. We do not do preservation only. Choose from paperweights, rosaries, candles or votives, photo frames, jewelry, ornaments and more. Creating very unique and personal keepsakes for you to enjoy, “Forever In Time.”

How are flowers preserved?
Most people don’t realize that flowers can be preserved. To preserve your flowers, I freeze-dry them, a machine that freezes, then extracts the moisture, maintains their shape and seals the flower to protect its beauty, “Forever”. It requires time, patience and precision to detail. The flowers shrink a bit in size and can darken, but they are still YOUR flowers. They become very fragile, and will need to placed inside a display, which will keep the flowers protected from dust and other types of damage.
What flowers preserve the best?
Yes, most flowers preserve well. Roses and carnations do the best. The only flowers that can be harder, are small petal flowers likes small daisies and mums. Some of their petals can drop off, but they still can be preserved. Star-gazer lilies are a issue, because the color deepens. With most flowers I airbrush color back, but because of the coloring on a star-gazer, I can’t. But even if the flowers shrink a bit, or the color is a little different….they are still YOUR flowers. Please feel free to email if you have questions.
Why should I have my flowers preserved?
Once flowers are used in a ceremony or given by a special person, they become sentimental. Let us make those memories last by creating a floral keepsake for you to enjoy, "Forever In Time".
When and how do I order?
The sooner the better. The fresher the flower, the better the outcome. Send your flowers, and we will gladly help you through the process. (See the "Placing Order" tab) Even if your flowers aren't perfect, keepsakes can be made. It's the meaning behind the flower that's most important.
How soon do you need to receive my flowers?
For the best results, I should have them within 1 - 3 days of your event. Please note: the freshness of your flowers will impact the final result. But even if your flower isn't perfect, it's still your flower. With the option of jewelry, frames, candles, ornaments, they are made from petals and pieces, the flowers don't have to be perfect.
How do I get you my flowers?
Full shipping instructions are under "Shipping To Us". It is easy to do. You can choose what you want made later, most important is to get the flowers shipped.
What happens when you receive my flowers?
Once your flowers are received, we catalog them, take photos and notes. Flowers are treated individually. The freeze-dry process takes 7-10 days. Once they have gone through the drying process they will be placed in a low humidity room. Once the flowers are ready, and your order is placed and paid, the keepsakes are created.
Do I have to choose what type of display I want right away?
No. But orders need to be placed in a timely fashion. Ideally, at 30 days, but no more than 60 days. This is done from my basement, I just don't have the space to store them.
Can I just get my flowers preserved?
No, they need to be placed into something. Because they are so fragile when finished, they need to protected. Unused flowers are not sent back for the same reason.
How to I ship you my flowers?
Follow the "Shipping To Us" instructions. Most important is to not send them wet, or put anything wet with them. Don't put too many flowers in a bag.
How long does the preservation take?
It varies on the flower. Open petal flowers like lily’s or daisies will take less time than a more dense flower like a rose. On average, it’s 2 - 3 weeks. With flower petals for jewelry, frames or candles, it only takes a 1 - 2 weeks, because I’m doing loose petals. We freeze-dry them, which is the best way for preserving them. Remember, the better condition of the flower going in, the better the outcome. Ideally, we like to get the flowers in and orders processed and out within 60 days.
Do Flowers Change Color?
The age and the condition of the flowers at the time we receive them plays a role in how well they are preserved. Preservation will cause some color changes in your flowers. Some white flowers dry a creamy color and some colors especially red flowers dry darker.
What if I have flowers already dried?
That is fine, as long as there is color, something can be made with them. We will be able to make suggestions once we have them to judge the condition. Again, it's the meaning and memories behind the flowers. Even if they aren't perfect, something can be made from them.
How long does it take to get the finished product?
The preservation takes 2 - 3 weeks. Then once we have your order and you have paid in full. Keepsakes are created and ship within 21 business days.
How do I get my finished product?
We normally ship everything USPS, priority mail. Some glass displays are the exception, because they are so fragile. They are shipped via UPS.
Will you help me choose what to have made?
We are more than happy to help you, and make suggestions. We want you to enjoy your flowers, and your treasured keepsakes, "Forever In Time."
